FAR's new Web site to debut soon

ORLANDO, Fla. – Nov. 27, 2006 – We want to share some great news about the Florida Association of Realtors'® (FAR) new member Web site -- www.floridarealtors.org : It will debut soon.

FAR members will find many new features, as well as these popular member services: Forms, tax roll data, MLSAdvantage, TransactionDesk and Forms Online Gold. As we transition to the new site, continue to log into PlanetRealtor. When the new site goes live, you will be automatically redirected to www.floridarealtors.org.

Here's a short list of some features on the new site:

• A robust Google search feature that retrieves information from the entire site or specific sections in seconds.

• Easy-to-understand login options.

• A “My Favorite Pages” bookmark feature on the home page that allows you to personalize the site to meet your needs.

• Blogs! Three industry experts will share their views, and members can participate through our Discussion Boards.

• Expanded Discussion Board topic areas to build community in the Realtor network.

• 90 percent of the site is open to the public, which means more positive exposure for you and your customers. But the resources you value most through your membership -- including business forms/contracts and tax roll data -- will require a membership password to access.

• A “Getting Started” section that focuses on new Realtors and new Brokers.

• Easy-to-navigate sections. You can link to areas within and outside the site using our “Quick Links” access.

• Webinars taught by industry experts through REIS, along with sophisticated online training opportunities.

• Little touches that make big impressions:

1. “Print this page” (text only), “email this page” and “read more articles about this topic” option on every article page.

2. New and redesigned content packaged for easy navigation and quick reading.

3. Refreshed content daily.

4. Personality: The site was designed and written to be conversational, connective and motivational.
